Went to WonderCon early today, got there around 11:30. Didn't really do much at con- wandered around the dealers room a lot, ended up buying Invincible Vol. 3, Fables Vol. 5, and Sandman Vol. 7, which I think I last bought my freshman year at UCSC, which rankles the mind, yo. The main event was a panel with David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz, the big names behind the new X-Files movie, due out this summer. Before they got onstage though, James Kyson Lee of Heroes fame and some other girl whose name escapes me because I didn't know who she was and also because she was such a ditz were there pimping their shitty horror movie about 'spirit photography'. The best part of that was hearing Lee talk about the new stories on Heroes, and just watching him geek out about being involved in something so cool. After that though, the main event was up. Gillian Anderson was absolutely gorgeous- she's grown her hair out, which, as many of you know, if a feature I highly approve of in women. Duchovny was his usual awkward self, attempting to give advice to one audience member who wanted to know what kept him going. I took some pictures and one video, which I'll upload later, just because I want to get some stuff out now.


This evening, I went to dinner with my parents and my godparents, for a premature celebration of Jordan's bro, Zander's, birthday. I had a Mojito, which was way too strong, and I consequently have a slight buzz and a slight headache now. Better now than the morning after, I suppose. One thing that came up was some of my brother's and Zander's drunken escapades, specifically getting arrested by angry mexican poilce. I just remembered thinking, "I am so glad my life lacks this much excitement."
